TAN YE TEIK (piano)

Ye Teik graduated with a Master of Music (MMus) in music performance in 2008, from The University of Hull, United Kingdom. His areas of expertise include Music Performance, Analysis and Musicology, and Psychology in Music Performance. During his time at The University of Hull, he has the opportunity and privilege to study the piano with Irina Glushenkova, who is the student of Professor Lev Vlasenko and Mikhail Pletnev, and is herself an active recitalist and accompanist. Between 2004 and 2008, he has the opportunity to perform as a soloist, and he also appeared as an accompanist to violinist and flutist in the university. In addition to his university degrees, he was also awarded various music performance diplomas from ABRSM and Trinity-Guildhall - LRSM, LGSM and ATCL.

 

YEOH LIN SAN (musikgarten, piano, violin)

Lin San took up piano lessons at the age of 4 and 5 years on, she learned how to play the violin. At the age of 16, she obtained her ATCL (Trinity College of London) in piano performance and Grade 8 (ABRSM) theory certificate. Just before leaving for overseas to pursue her tertiary education (majoring in Accounting and Management Information Systems), she completed ABRSM Grade 8 practical examination for violin. Lin San was teaching piano and violin on a part time basis before she decided to do full time in 2007. Now a mother of two, she also conducts Musikgarten classes for young children (from babies up to 8 years of age).
